Another picture from Matador State Beach at sunrise from Saturday morning. A particularly beautiful view of the north end of the beach just as the sun touched the rocks.

Malibu Storm http://www.natesiggard.com/lifestream/items/view/332/malibu-storm

During a quick break in the recent storms one day as I was walking along Pt Dume in Malibu, CA, a storm formed out of the ocean in an instant. This is it's birth.

During a very brief break in the colossal storm hitting LA right now, I managed to grab a few breath-taking pictures down at Pt. Dume. Within minutes the clouds grew out of the ocean, out of thin air, and overtook us.

Tuolumne Meadows, Yosemite, California http://www.natesiggard.com/lifestream/items/view/321/tuolumne-meadows-yosemite-california

Tuolumne Meadows is the most beautiful meadow that I have ever seen. The first time I passed this meadow on this trip, it had hundreds of dear grazing under a cloudy sunset. We came back the next day to take some shots from deeper in the field. The winter snow had not fully melted off and the meadow was almost completely covered by a few inches of water. The water ended up reflecting the clouds perfectly and the views of the glacier polished granite rock peaks together create a stunning arrangement of timeless nature.

Bodie is an abandoned ghost town in the eastern Sierra of central California. Bodie was once the busiest most active mine in the “West” and is said to be the eptiome of 19th century wild-west.

Oak Creek Canyon, Sedona, AZ http://www.natesiggard.com/lifestream/items/view/319/oak-creek-canyon-sedona-az

I camped in the bottom of this canyon on a full moon in October in 2008. I arrived in Sedona from Phoenix much later than I expected but caught the sunset on the drive in just as the gorgeous orange rock mountains start. I picked this campground because it was the most lively, and the first I noticed on the treacherous road in the dark and alone. When I woke up, this is the first real view of the land that I got. The road is covered with trees that obscure the canyon walls from below. To get here you must walk past the row of Native American’s selling trinkets; which I think could be setup as an actual business. There could be a big tourist benefit for the city/county/state, and an info center, like one you would find in a National Park could have hiking trails, recreated native life displays, LOTS OF ART, weddings, events on celestial and tribal holidays. Coupled with a beautiful building that fits the landscape and is completely sustainable, there’s no reason no to.
