These are sketches for some new paintings I am going to be doing. In the one on the left, I followed the pattern inward while in the spiral on the right I tried a more universal design.

I have spent a few late nights painting this new piece recorded my session last night to give you an idea of what’s gone into the painting so far. I’d estimate that so far it has been about 20 or so hours of work. I’m still not finished, but will post pictures as soon as I am.

Google Calendar & iCal Sync

While driving from San Diego to Phoenix the other day I thought a few things:

• I want to paint the Arizona sunset using the wind and clouds. There are colors here that are no where else.

• Living on Mission bay means watching fireworks every night at 10.

• It’s a machine. If you’re going to give someone buying advice in janky tattoo supply shops, at least know enough to know that you don’t call it a freakin gun.

I went to check out Mike DeVries new tattoo shop in Northridge today and ended up sitting down for a few hours with Phil Garcia who began what will soon be a beautiful addition to my leg. Check out the shop myspace.com/mdtattoos

I’m working on a couple of websites through the beginning of July, and then I’m headed to Pheonix, Northern California, and perhaps a few other lucky places.

I played bass for a year or two with Nick and Steve from Last of the Believers in a band called Spark of Life. Good to see these guys still playing the same kind of music we were back then. Make sure to add them on myspace.
